Automated Catalog Production - CPP
Catalog Publishing Platform in detail
The Catalog Publishing Platform comprises three main modules:
- 1) CPP Database:
The CPP Database holds the entire content of the catalog projects, such as structure, text, and image information/ location
- 2) CPP Webinterface:
Via the webinterface, the user takes control over the catalog project, creates pages, a running order and adds relevant information:
- 3) CPP Automation Client:
The CPP Automation Client combines text and images according to the defined structure and assigned templates and automatically creates InDesign files.
CPP workflow example
- a) You populate your own database with text and image information or you
use our web-based Product Management System. - b) We define the layout of your catalog based on your briefing or old layout.
- c) We create templates based on the layout definition and include the
necessary automation logic. - d) We import your database into the CPP database via XML.
- e) You define running order and assign templates to content via the
web interface (we can also do this as a full-service if you wish). - f) On your demand, we run CPP Automation Center, generate the
catalog and deliver InDesign or PDF files. - g) You (we) apply necessary corrections until you are satisfied with the result.
- h) The PDF files can be delivered to your print house of choice.
This is only ony typical workflow example. You always have the choice to use our full-service support or involve other 3rd party suppliers.
